Little Steps realizes the need to be proactive in zero-waste initiatives as part of our hope to nurture change in the community. Our Head of Eco Steps is passionate about living a sustainable lifestyle and inviting others to do so. Some of the steps taken through are using social media as a platform to promote composting with a Bokashi bin, making eco bricks, and zero plastic shopping.
“Do you not see that Allah sends down rain from the sky and makes it flow as springs [and rivers] in the earth; then He produces thereby crops of varying colors; then they dry and you see them turned yellow; then He makes them [scattered] debris. Indeed in that is a reminder for those of understanding.” (Qur’an, 39:21)
We hope this can bring us towards a community that believes in significantly reducing global carbon footprint in order to uphold the short term trust given to us by the Creator.
